TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 60-day Covid extension at Pattaya Immigration, you will typically need the following documents: 1. Your passport with copies of the data page, most recent visa, most recent entry stamp, and departure card. 2. A TM30 form filed at the immigration office. 3. Specific forms required by the Pattaya Immigration office. 4. A letter from your embassy regarding your inability to return, or a printout from the embassy's website stating they don’t issue such letters. 5. Two passport-sized photos. 6. A fee of 1,900 THB. Some offices may also require additional documents, such as the ID card of the property owner where you are staying and copies of all stamped pages in your passport.

here you go. Print this off and he'll be fine.

The section to print is:

"COVID-19 Visa Extension Letters

The British Embassy no longer issues visa extension letters.

On Monday 2nd November 2020, the British Embassy Bangkok received verbal confirmation from Thai Immigration Bureau that Embassy letters are not required to extend visas within Thailand. Instead, you can complete an affidavit at your local Immigration Office.

If you want to remain in Thailand after your current visa expires, or you have questions about your immigration status in Thailand you should speak to your local Immigration Office or visit the Thai Immigration website."

You're probably best asking a Pattaya related group, however he will probably require the following documents:

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and ant to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

Ben, you're a lifesaver; he'd have gone without owner's ID card....

The ID card is a "MAYBE", Not all immigration offices require it. I don't know if Pattaya does requires this document; I don't think they do.
