TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experience of obtaining a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) after a single entry Non-O visa has expired. Key points include the requirement to apply for the METV from the passport-issuing country, legally residing country, or Australia. There are questions regarding the applicant's plans for acquiring the METV.

nope, none at all. meet the requirements to get the 6 month METV from what ever thai consulate you use in your area of China and you should be fine. Your previous visa history (especially seeing as they are not tourist visas) has nothing to do with it at all
I’m planning to go back to China since I’m holding a Chinese passport! Will there be any problems because of my previous non-o? I got my first non-o in the U.S.
Liping Wang you can obtain a METV in Australia so long as you meet their requirements - you do not have to be a resident or provide proof or residency as this is NOT one of the requirements
