I just returned from overseas and went to Jomtien last week (Thursday) and lodged TM30, normally with same address.

Not only was it accepted but I saw 3 people in front of me get fined for failing to lodge TM30 after going to Bangkok and not filing new TM30 when they returned to Jomtien - they didn't even go oveseas!!

I will continue to lodge!!!

Can't answer your other questions, but highly recommended you avoid Monday and Thursday, as these are the busiest days due to visa run companies.

And the best part also about Hobart Consulate - you apply and get your visa and passport back within 5-10 minutes, not days later :))

The Thai Embassy Canberra (Australia) DOES require financials, as you will see on their application form

One correction: Thai Consulate in Hobart, Tasmania (Australia) does NOT have any financial requirements for METV - you will even notice their specific application form doesn't even mention any financial requirements. BUT its a long way out of normal travel haha 😉

You might still be in a spot of bother...any extension from 27 Oct will only take you to 26 Nov, 30 days, it's not a one calendar month extension...so it won't cover you up until your flight.

Technically within 60 days...but they don't ask for it that often...but yes if they do, then 60 days out of the country, not necessarily home country

You can leave at the airport taking both passports without transferring the visa...it is done regularly
