Hello everyone. I'm heading to Vientiane to apply for non O visa based on marriage.

I prepared the following documents:

1. Application form with 2 photos (at embassy)

2. My passport and a copy of the data page.

3. Original marriage certificate and copies

4. Wife's passport and ID card copies.

5. Wife's house book

Will all this be sufficient to get the 60/90 day visa?

Appreciate your advice and sorry if this has been asked before, I really can't find the post.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Non-O visa based on marriage at the Thai embassy in Vientiane and has prepared several documents for the application. Comments from the community suggest including signed copies of the spouse's ID card and house book, along with the original marriage certificate, and a letter from the spouse summarizing their relationship. Hello. Which nationality are you, can anyone of any nationality go to apply?

Timothy Tan This is an old list form the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and that is not in Laos. In Laos there is only a list with countries restricted to apply for a Tourist Visa to Thailand.

Okay. Just got my 90 days visa.

1. Took 6am flight from DMK to UTH. Reach at 7am.

2. 200thb mini van to Nongkhai border. Reach around 8.15am.

3. Stamp out from Thailand, got a 20thb ticket to cross to Laos border.

4. Spent 5thb to buy an exit card, filled up immigration card while queuing.

5. Cleared Laos border by 8.30am. Badgered by taxi touts. Got a vehicle for 200thb, bargained from 300thb.

6. Reach Thai consulate at 9.15am. Ask the nice people inside to fill form for me for 55thb and copy my incoming Laos stamp.

7. Queued for 40mins and got queue number 151.

8. Waited for another hour to verify my documents.

9. By 11.30am was out of consulate.

10. Next day. 1330 hrs arrived at embassy. Queue was moving at 25 numbers per 15 mins. Got my passport back after waiting an hour-ish. (Pay the officer as requested on receipt)

11. Out of embassy, shared a mini van with 2 chaps and headed to border.

12. Free exit plastic card as i arrived before 4pm.

13. Stamped out and reached Nongkhai at 3.45pm.

14. Paid 150thb for mini van to airport. Reached around 5pm.

Documents needed as per my post. They do really need to see your original marriage cert and a letter from your spouse helps too. No income letter is required.

Thanks all for their advices here.

This is also on their requirements on their website, no mention of financial proof: - A letter from the spouse verifying that the applicant and the spouse are still married and the purpose to visit Thailand.

You need copies of your wifes ID card and house book signed by her and the copy of your marriage cert signed by her. The single entry non imm O based on marriage gives you 90 days in the country

Can't answer your other questions, but highly recommended you avoid Monday and Thursday, as these are the busiest days due to visa run companies.
