Not anymore. New visa rules just announced. If you aren't on a long-term visa, you can only stay in Thailand a maximum of 90 days per year on a tourist visa. That's 60 days + 1 30-day extension. That's it for a year.

Hua Hin is probably best for retirees. Avoid Chiang Mai – especially if there are any respiratory issues (but also just too crowded now, anyway).
