Hi folks my wife and Daughter are from Loas Pakse and we like to go Thailand shopping, restaurants, macDs, night markets, my wife and Daughter travel freely though I have to watch how many times I cross the boarder I normally spend 100,000 bhat per visit, then return visa to Loas, I ask Thai immigration 30 days is ok for me but they laughed, is this a deliberate action as they introduced the 60 Visa ? Now I bought return tickets , and tickets to Ubon , booked hotel, makes me feel conned by Thailand. My thoughts now I booked another way to Loas , there loss of a good Traveller with a few quid.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expresses frustration regarding their experiences with Thai immigration while traveling with their family from Laos. They mention that their wife and daughter can travel freely, but they face scrutiny. When they requested a 30-day visa, immigration officials laughed, and the user is concerned about possible discrepancies in the treatment of travelers. They feel frustrated by the changes in visa policies and worry about how it affects their family, especially their child who loves Thailand.
Because you asked for 30 days when 30 days is not a thing. It doesn't exist. It's 60 days. So they can't give you something that doesn't exist. They laughed likely because with your travel history you should know better. The 60 days visa exempt replaced the 30 days a while ago.
Bob D'Andrea if it was that simple as it came from the top targets those who done boarder runs and that's what my passport looked like as there's no family seen on my passport.
Thailand believes it is more acceptable to sacrifice a traveler with unlimited funds than to allow thousands to remain in the country on tourist visas while they work illegally and establish illegal businesses.
Yes they stamped and laughed, that was my last visit but now I see all these others being denied entry , made me think my passport looks like theres it don't show I traveled with family both ways ,
