Phnom Penh is your best option most likely, I had to do it over mew year I went on the 2nd came back the 5th,, if you want I have a write up of all the steps you need to take that someone else did and I just followed thst and it all went fine. Pm me if you want it all in all you're looking at around 15k to do it incl flights, Maybe a bit more as long as you can find the flights for about 6k return

And if you can show you're on a long term visa and not a tourist then obviously you shouldnt need to show anything for onward travel

No but I was asked about it In the UK before I boarded but I had the 20k In cash on me just jn case I was asked when I got to Thailand but I wasnt asked and never have been. Most people as you probably know dont get asked to show 20k in cash but it is better to have it just in case I would say 🤷

I once flew from the UK on a non b visa as I was visiting home and did it as one if my 90 fat border runs. I was asked at Manchester airport for my onward ticket by one I explained I lived there and showed my visa they were okay

It's best to have it just in case but you probably won't be asked for it, I've never been asked In 7 years here, but you will most likely get asked about you're onward travel at the airport you're departing from. Both times I have left the UK for thailand I was asked to show my onward travel or long term visa but then arrived in Thailand and was never asked for it

I mean the year extension, you need loads of stuff and different docs, photos taken around the house and address boards with you and your wife in the photo, signatures and ID, copy of ban books of the person who owns the house etc. It's not fake news mate, I'm legit going thru the process ATM and we have about 100 pieces of paper as Danielle mentioned

Whatever you do, don't think it's just a case of going to the immigration office and job done, there is a ton of paperwork and documents you need to get/provide and it's definitely not something that you can club together the day before you go 👍

I know what you're saying though, it's super stressful I had to fly out and fly back in over new year to sort my visa situation out and it was none stop worry until I landed back in Thailand

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine they don't inspect your docs with a fine tooth comb and pour over every single word when you're checking in, etc
