I understand. Because, to get into the Schengen area, as a Thai, you need a very expensive visa and a pile of documents. (Not that the average Thai can afford that).

It pisses them off (and me too, because of course I paid for it this year for my GF)...

Secondly, there are Farang out there 'using' the system. They know that. The officers are getting more alert.

And lastly. It does not matter what the rules are and how many runs you have done. It all depends on the attitude of the officer...

Hello Robert.

I am planning to teach English to children in Thailand. Doing a TEFL course at the moment (online, in the Netherlands).

I got my info from Siam Legal International.

Key requirements include:

An invitation letter from the Thai school, stating the position (volunteer English teacher) and duration

School registration documents

A copy of the director’s Thai ID

Possibly your TEFL certificate (once completed) and your CV

Proof of residence in the Netherlands

Health insurance covering your stay in Thailand

Completed the visa application form and paid of visa fee

All can be found on Thai Government website.

Asking in Facebook will only get you more confused, because many people just don't pay attention or say "I heard..."

You can find all the information on the Government website, or contact an agent.

Here you get confusing and conflicting views and interpretations.

And this is why people get confused. And all BS gets in the system.

It is so easy; all info is on the Thai Gouvernement site.
