I disagree….. only people using them for the wrong things.

Even this last crack down they are still saying foreigners can in fact open banks. There is no law against it. They are just cracking down and ensuring everyone’s info matches and it’s all correct ✅

yeah true , from my research that I did, I put it in the 2 hard basket…. There is literally no reason to have it. Once you have a bank account and drivers license.

The only benefit I can see in it is not needing a residence certificate if you ever need one.

I used my Australian drivers license as proof of address.

Some people use hotel bookings when in a 3rd country. Or even entry stamps for example applying in Vietnam
