TLDR : Answer Summary
When flying into Bangkok for the first time on a DTV visa, it is generally not necessary to bring physical bank statements. Many travelers advise keeping relevant documents, including any proof of funds, on your phone for convenience. The main requirement is to ensure completion of your TDAC and to carry your passport. In rare cases, immigration officers may inquire about compliance with visa requirements, but electronic proof from a bank app is usually deemed acceptable.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

No docs required. Your visa has been approved!

ThaiBot That the visa is approved is not a guarantee you will not be checked when you enter the country.

In routine checks they might ask you to prove you comply with visa requirements.

That's like saying that if you get pulled over by a police, they will give you a driving test, even if you have a driver's license. You must trust the process. Your vetting happened when you applied for the visa. They might ask you a couple questions, but there is no requirement to produce the documents that you used to apply for the visa. If you are that worried, just be sure you can log into your bank account from your phone so you can show them your balance.

ThaiBot Luit has been overly worried about being questioned for a long time now. I tell him to relax and enjoy the visa but he doesn't listen.

ThaiBot that is absolutely not the same, a visa is nowhere in the world a guarantee you can enter a country. How can they check 5 years before you will comply with rules, that is ridiculous. That is why there will be checks every now and then. And you just have to show what IO thinks is necessary do decide you should be permitted to enter. And to continue with your example, when you are stopped with your car, they can check if your drivers license is valid, but also if you are not drunk, if your car is OK, even if you are able to drive a car, for instance with a broken leg you are not allowed to drive.
Luit *****************
In rare cases IO might check if you comply with visa requirements, but they cannot expect you to have all documents on paper all the time, soin the rare case you get checked they should accept your bank app as sufficient proof.

You do not. Keep all documents on your phone. All you need to do is complete your TDAC and bring your passport.

No need to do that. It’s all anonymous post telling people to do that. Just print your visa. And make sure your TDAC is done.

I’ve been in and out 13 times over the last 11 months never been asked for anything.

Just keep it on your phone for peace of mind
