When exactly should we do TDAC before arrival? People say "up to 3 days before" which is unclear. If my flight arrives on 10th September should I do it BEFORE or AFTER the 7th September? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TDAC form must be completed within 72 hours before your arrival in Thailand. If your flight arrives on 10th September, you should complete it after 7th September. However, it's possible to fill it out just before your flight, at the airport, or even upon arrival if necessary.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

You can do it when you land also. I normally do it after I’ve checked in and killing time at the airport before travelling to Thailand πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ πŸ™πŸ½πŸ‘Œ

Doing it at the airport may and an extra hour or so in queue.

So do not use that option, unless last resort.

I mean doing it at the airport in Singapore for example like me now , just completed my TDAC while waiting for my gate to open to BKK

And need to spend time looking up a computer, much MUCH easier to do it at home before leaving, and some airlines even won’t let you check in without.

Furthermore it is highly recommended to print out the QR code you receive, if you want a smooth Immigration clearance.

Either the night/day before your departure after done with your packing, or in the departure lounge at airport if you have time. If they have onboard wifi with your flight then that could be an opportunity to do it. If you have a sizeable layover somewhere then another good opportunity. If you have family / kids etc then probably before all mad rush packing when you are still at home but within 72 hours of your arrival time. Although not advisable the last opportunity you will get is after you step off the plane and connect to the website through wifi before going through immigration.

I did mines 7 hours before my flight. Some people did it on the plane. There's literally a kiosk (at least at DMK) to complete it there.

No urgency needed. If you wanted to really risk it, you could probably do it in the immigration line.

To answer your question. If you're set to arrive on let's say the 5th, it won't allow you to fill it out on the 1st. Needs to be 72 hours within the time of your arrival.

Unlikely and not a big deal. It's not a competition to get past immigration. You're not going to win any awards for doing so and no one cares.

Also immigration processing these days doesn't take nearly as long as it once did. Everything has improved in terms of efficiency.
