Thanks for the info. It appears the papers they gave me on 8 November were my notification of residence papers. I have not received a paper telling me of my 90 day notification date.

I don’t choose anything. I have asked for advice and I have passed all of the information to my father, including a pdf of the Thai requirements. I have also told him that I recommend he goes to his doctor and gets a list of the medication and complete the form.

no it’s not a rumour. I have been working to get my work permit with my company and part of this was a consultation with Ernst Young about Thailand tax requirements. I was informed that as of January I will have to report any transfers from uk to Thailand as well as details of any property that I have in the uk.

However uk have a reciprocal tax agreement with Thailand so I will either pay tax in uk or Thailand but not both.

I recently transferred 3 million baht from my uk bank account to my Thai bank account via swift and it cost me £20. I am with nationwide bank. The exchange rate was favourable

All done logged on with my computer and setup my account.

For info: there are 2 accounts you can login with.

Homeowner account and visitor account. In visitor account I had to provide my passport and the house document. On my wife’s account she had to provide her Thai id and house document.

After I created my account and uploaded the documents I just had to put the address where I am staying.

Thanks. My wife’s account is now set up it took a couple of hours for the email with password to arrive. My email on the other hand does not contain the verify email button, most likely a problem with Apple phone I will logon to a computer and try.

You’re welcome I have all 3 apps and whilst XE is a little less on the exchanges it is by far the easiest to use. I have had issues with both MoneyGram and wise not accepting the transfer. Technical issues.

I use XE I pay by card and the recipient can collect cash with id

They could easily meet the requirements if they chose to but it’s always profits before people.
