I wouldn't trust what you can read for a forum. I read cases here where people have their DTV (as dependant) just after showing 500k per person. Best advice? Just mail the embassy in the UK and ask them what their requirements are, the truth is that every embassy does its own way and what is accepted somewhere else might now be a valid option there
Anonymous participant if your visa got cancelled due wrong information then you can apply without worries at the same embassy. Make sure to mail them first and ask them to explain what was wrong with your application so that you don't give them with another 300$
it's absurd on how thailand is trying to milk out tourist in any possible way. I remember that back 20yrs ago people could just get a 3 entry tourist visa for 70us$. That was 9 months of staying. Then it was possible to go pretty much anywhere and get another 3 entry visa and keep going on. But let's keep blaming on tourists. Same as what is happening in phuket, they are destroying the island for $$$ but instead of saying no, they get the money from foreigners and then blame on them for destroying the island....
well, if you have multiple apartments and money deposited in thailand that could be possible, especially if there's a thai co-signing with you. In all the other cases it's a no no
Anonymous participant I recommend you to mail the embassy, I have the screenshot from the embassy my friend applied which clearly states 'according to your passport, your name should Mei-Ying (with the -, no spaces in between names) and your family name should be Lin. Contact the embassy, my friend lost over 10k for such a mistake and even tho other embassies worldwide stated differently they claimed to do that way (besides of pointing out that the application CANNOT BE REFUND UNDER ANY CIRCOSTANCE).
watch you, mandarin folks DON'T HAVE a middle name. One of my friends got his visa cancelled cuz the put his second name as middle name. I believe you should type your whole name like this Mei-Ying in the given name.
I actually won't mind paying the "fees" to get the paperwork done but some schools have become greedy and charge 15k just for that... Wish I could find a cheaper one since I'm not really interested into muai thai
