you best chance would be to transfer 500k on her account but that's a huge risk, my grandpa always told me that money end up friendships and relationships.... You can directly mail the embassy and them whether they accept a sponsorship letter or not. It's very unlikely they would accept anything under your name cuz you guys aren't married, only spouses got that right
that is what he wanted to do at first but then you can say good bye to thailand cuz it's really like they red flag your name + they pointed out several times that before applying for the visa you have to tick a note saying that you know that the visa is not refundable under any circumstance or for any case. No matter what, once you pay you won't get your money back. I think this is also one of the reasons all the visas went online, less work and MUCH MORE revenue due to stupid mistakes.
the arrogance they replied at first made my blood boil. Once my friend got a mail saying the visa was cancelled due to mistake in the form, he mailed asked them what the mistake was and got replied he filled up the middle name instead of writing 2 given names). He mail them back showing what the OFFICIAL website claims (there's a session called MISTAKES TO AVOID while filling up a form, especially for those who don't have just a single name). He followed EXACTLY what their website claimed and he sent them a screenshot of it. They just replied that doesn't apply to his case and that screenshot claiming he accepted to lose his money. Even they do a mistake, you still have to pay for it.
Anonymous participant it's like you'll get ask a s*itload of documents proving that you pay taxes, get paid consistently and blah blah blah. If you don't mind gambling 300$ then you can take the risk
Anonymous participant the things that made me mad was that all of the official websites (in English) from the government pointed out how to fill in the form. They replied showing a screenshot where my friend ticked the part claiming "The visa isn't refundable for any reasons/ under any circumstance". They were "sort of nice" saying that he could reapply again but that stupid mistake came at 300$, I felt like when you get scammed in thailand and the seller keeps smiling at you knowing u got no rights and happy for having your money in his pocket
A dear friend of mine got the visa (and 350$) cancelled cuz of that name thing. He's asian so he got 2 names, well, he put is first name in given name and his second name as middle name like ALL the English official government websites claim. Long story short, the embassy said that he has 2 given names and no middle name so his money was lost. When he pointed out that ALL the English websites claim to fill in the way he did, they just replied saying that the visa isn't refundable and he accepted that right before applying for it. Do you want good advice? Take a picture of your passport and mail the embassy asking them how to fill in their form, that's gonna probably save u over 300$ and a bad time.
of course I'm gonna tell you are wrong. Some folks got crypto accepted as 500k proof while most of the folks got a no no. Some folks got a dtv with a single appointment at the hospital while other got denied. Some folks are required to show their employment for soft powers while most of the embassies are not. Some folks got their visa denied in certain country but then accepted few days later in a different one while showing exactly the same documents. Emails are free, my advice is to double check with the embassy especially if you mind losing 300+ us$. Anyways, your life, your money. Do whatever the F u want, that was my advice but u are free to do your own way. Peace
People here can claim whatever they want, the point is that right before you apply for the visa they will force you to accept the fact that the visa isn't refundable in any ways, even if the embassy does a mistake. The embassy I'm going to apply (dtv soft powers) to doesn't mention anything besides of a legit muay thai/medical reason on their website but once you apply they will ask you to prove you got a job and to provide the documentation for the company you are working for (even for soft powers!!!) . TBH they have mentioned that when I mailed them but if I know a folk who got the visa denied for that reason (he couldn't get the documentation cuz he was unemployed but with 100k us$ in the bank) and when he mailed the embassy pointing out that wasn't on their website they replied with a "You accepted when we claimed the visa is not refundable for ANY REASON IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE".
