Yes ..I was wondering if it would work for me .. I ask the dentist for a letter ..he only did for 6 mths .. so ..after reading a few people who were rejected.. I asked for a 2 yr plan .. that worked...only question asked was... Where your main card account ...mobile banking ? ... I pointed out 50,000 baht deposit into a Thai account ...highlighted every figure that was important...and said it was my partners account and this is the card I use ..it hers .. show her a card .. had no name on it ..just the bank ..that was in Vientiane.. one of last walk in... applied morning 9.15 Monday 16th Dec morning 9.15 ...pick up passport ..and surprisingly a visa ...on Wednesday 18th at 3.30 pm ...used on Friday to re-entry...Happy Pete 🙂🙏

No alternative...just have 500,000 b or equivalent in your main bank .a/c.eg: the account you use everyday..that's the only question they ask me .. i said only use cash and show that in my transfers to here...also ...I am sure you don't need to keep money in that account from what I have read ..but that's a maybe ...

My experience in Laos ..Vientiane ....was I had my Australian bank account that I use all the time when there ...as have an a/c here ..but didn't mention that ...so I transferred enough money to be over 500,000..I converted it to baht in my Australia bank ...with yellow high higher ...all she asked was ..your mobile account ..where's that ...I asked what's you mean .... mobile ...she ask for everyday transactions...I told her that I not use my card ..just transfer into my partners account..she is Thai ..and I put out 40,000b when I need money ...pick up my visa 2 days later ..did that transfer ...528,000 b was 3 days before I went to put my forms in ...I also had lots of activity in that account ..for buying stuff online , money transfers stating .."Thai Money" ...not over counter ..very rarely purchase products over the counter with my card ..

yes ..I know a few people who had DTV done whilst in Thailand ..but with an agent who charges ..1..was 18,000 b plus the 10,000b other was 25,000b including the 10,000b for visa ..other guy said said he had an agent but didn't say the fee ...I did mine by myself at Vientiane...stayed 5 days ...and entered Thailand with DTV ..cost 10,000 visa fee ....petrol to border and back 1800b, hotel .. 5500b plus beers and food ..which i would have paid anyway, as I go for rides anyhow but enjoyed the place, was bit boring but had a book 🍺
