Not sure where your citizenship is, but not all countries get a visa exempt. If you need visa on arrival you probably were lucky to get the 30 days, it was a special to promote travel, valid until 31st march, after that dat it went back to the usual 15 days.

they looked at it 1 day before we were flying, so after almost 5 weeks and then needed more documents. They told us to move our flight (1 day before we were leaving French territory, 2 weeks before entering Thailand) or the was no use in sending them the documents.

They are pretty useless. My friend was traveling from the Netherlands and had it sorted in 2 weeks.

Do take plenty of time to organize the visa with the Thai embassy in France. 5 weeks was not enough to organise our 60 day tourist visa and we lost our money. They are French and slow!

yes, maybe, but they will never let me know they made a mistake. They did not look at it until one day before we travelled and then said: oeps, too late to do it now.

Useless, but learned a lesson. When I want to go for my retirement visa it will not be through them

Do you know if you need to do it in person or can I take my husband's passport and details to extend both at the same time?

they actually wrote that I need to postpone my flights if I want my visa, but, hmmm, that is true. Maybe I should just serve it to them as there is nothing to lose.
