If we want to arrange a retirement visa with an agent who will take care of the 800k, what would be the expected costs for this service? Anyone have a good recommendation?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost of hiring an agent for a retirement visa in Thailand varies based on whether you can prove the required 800,000 THB. If you have the funds, it typically costs around 12,000 to 15,000 THB, while costs can rise to 25,000 to 30,000 THB or more if you need financial assistance from an agent. Recommendations for agents in Pattaya include companies like 'Lucky', which is noted for its low fees and experience. Users suggest being cautious of illegal arrangements and ensuring that the financial proof is legitimate.

If you have the 800k, it's 15k through an agent including the visa, if you don't have the 800k, it's 25k through an agent including the visa.

Don't allow yourself to pay more than that in any circumstances.

Hi, do you have a recomendation for an agent?

Maybe a good idea not to use your real name on Facebook if you are trying to arrange a dodgey Visa.. IO often troll through Facebook groups such as this... you could find out that they might just be 'waiting' for you 🤦

Using that is not a good idea anyway, but thanks for the heads-up. I think many are not aware of this.

My pal uses an agent for his yearly retirement EoS and has done for 5-6 years. it costs 12,000 THB per year and an extra 1,000 THB if you want them to do your 90-day reports as well.

12,000 THB for the service when you use your own money. But it is 30,000 THB and more, when you don't have your own money. It helps to be capable of reading

my my, we are sarky and salty, aren’t we? Well hate to burst your bubble but my mate hasn’t got a pot to piss in so doesn’t have the required 800K each year. Yet this is what he pays. Over to you keyboard warrior.

@Tom ******
then tell your mate "good luck" because now he is inside the "illegal agent caroussell" and can't leave it any more

Agreed. I paid 20,000 for conversion from visa exempt entry to Non-O (Retirement), 12 months extension and opening a Bangkok Bank savings account. My agent transported me to and from the Bangkok Bank branch. I was told all agents charged 13,000 for extensions. Next year I applied for extension by myself at my immigration office.

no need to get mad. You are right those are the rules. There's always room for compromise in this beautiful country 🤗💛✨

@Anke ******************
it has to be in your bank for 2 months the first time you apply and on the annual renewal for 3 months.
Philip ***********
@Tony ********
the day you apply for non o it has to be in 1 day but stay for at least 2 months
Kim *********
@Philip **********
wrong it has to be there 2 months before applying - why do you answer when you don't know??
Philip ***********
@Kim ********
it has to be in your account the day you apply for non o
Kim *********
@Philip **********
no wrong again
Philip ***********
@Kim ********
I don't know where you did it or where you have the information I'm 100 % sure that the money has to be in your account the day you change tourist visa or exemption into non o Then it has to stay untill you apply for the 1 year extension, 2-3 months later
Nongnuch ********
@Philip **********
when you do the "change of visa type", the money has just to be in the account, for the 90-days Non-Imm-O visa. Yet after 60 days, when you apply for the "1-year extension of stay", the money has to be seasonded in the account for 2 months. And after you have been issued the Extension, the 800,000 have to remain in the account for 3 more months . . and never go under 400,000 for the remainder of the year
Philip ***********
@Nongnuch *******
that's right
Kim *********
@Philip **********
ahh ok sorry - I was talking about non o based on marriage or retirement
Philip ***********
@Kim ********
the same First you apply for non o, ( 3 months ) after 2-3 months you can extend that for 1 year 400.000 for marriage or 800.000 retirement In that period that money has to stay After 3 months, in case of retirement, you can go to 400.000 and if you want to extend after one year again, the 800.000 has to be in the account for 2 or 3 months that im not sure, before the day you want to extend
Kim *********
Nongnuch ********
around 30,000.- THB for the visa and the follow-up extension with a multi entry permit

@Nongnuch *******
which agent do you use?
Andreas *********
@Sonja ******
I don't use an agent, I got the 800,000.- THB and do everything by myself. Many agents will offer their service for you, depending where in Thailand you are.
