I think if you get that visa before you travel, health insurance is required. If you apply here in Thailand, don’t need health insurance. Sometimes that cost is a consideration.

lucky you. I’ve had bags lost, delayed, rerouted myself, family & friends as well. It’s up to you; if there’s anything you don’t want to be separated from, carry it onboard. That’s my choice.

don’t pack meds in checked bags. If airline loses his bag (oh that never happens😡) he loses his meds.

yes. Get an agent. They will get a bank account for you. Runs about 9,000 Baht to do it.

I’ve traveled into Thailand for years and have never been asked to show onward flights. Maybe it depends on the airline. ? And yes, it’s very easy to get an extension to the 30 day visa exemption.
