I think if you get that visa before you travel, health insurance is required. If you apply here in Thailand, donāt need health insurance. Sometimes that cost is a consideration.

Iāve traveled into Thailand for years and have never been asked to show onward flights. Maybe it depends on the airline. ? And yes, itās very easy to get an extension to the 30 day visa exemption.
