Non-Immigrant O-A you DO need health insurance. Anyway that wasn’t my point , my main point was it’s EASY to do things here in Thailand .

Sir I can advise you to first COME to Thailand and start the process in country as it will be a lot easier, as you will not need things like health insurance or police checks etc. Then go to a visa agent and ask for assistance. Sure you will have to pay 30 to 50k thai BAHT but they will do just about EVERYTHING for you and you can get to enjoying yourself faster . P.s in groups like this there are a lot of jerks, pay them no mind and just block them when necessary. Good luck

People can be disgusting and act like animals. I lost my id as well and no one retuned it. Police told me most of the time they just get tossed into the garbage or sold to criminals . Hope you find yours . Good luck

All currencies rise and fall as so their economies. The baht can’t rise much further , just like any country’s currency around the world , as this would destroy their exports as international vendors would avoid buying their once cheap products . Eventually central banks will “intervene “ and bring the exchange rate of the currency lower again. Maybe over the course of a year ..

Because in the future if you decide to actually retire in Thailand, you would have already built up an honest history with the immigration authorities. THATS the best reason. And they like that.
