TLDR : Answer Summary
To move to Isan, Thailand, you need to consider various paperwork based on your nationality, age, and circumstances such as marital status. Common visa options include the retirement visa (NON-O) for those aged 50 and above, or other categories depending on your situation. You'll need to provide proof of financial stability, such as a local bank account or proof of income. Additionally, once you establish residency, your homeowner must file a TM30 form. Conversations suggest being prepared with ample funds and understanding local life, as living in rural Isan may require adjustment.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
  • For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.

When you do find a place you're moving to the owner needs to file the paper TM30 which says where your current residence is
Stuart *********
@Jeffrey *********
as
@Lawr****
said. A TM6 was the old paper arrival/departure card that you used to have to fill out on the airplane or at a land border.

As of May 1st that’s going to be superseded by the TDAC.

I suspect you’re thinking of a TM30 where the hotel or landlord file the fact that you’re resident at their property.
Lawrence ********
@Jeffrey *********
TM6 is entry card, which is being replaced by TDAC (online). You mean TM30 or something else.

where are you living now.,I would look for an agent when you are here to get a retirement visa

You’re going to need to provide way more info to get anyone to be able to answer you.

What is your nationality, what is your age, Isan may suggest you’re married to a Thai (although that’s just a guess - I can’t see why anyone would who isn’t would move there - subjective for sure).

No one can answer your question without way more information.

@Steve *****
all the rules are the same to live throughout thailand so all you need is transport, then register your TM30 at the nearest immigration and possibly move bank account to that province
Stuart *********
@Sylvia *******
Bank statements often have to come from head office regardless of your branch you use.
Steve ******
@Sylvia *******
I'm with bank of Bangkok I move from pattaya to ban dong mo thong only got to go to sakon nakhon city register my new address easy as that 😊😊
Stuart *********
@Sylvia *******
There is no requirement to have a bank account in the province you’re applying for a visa/extension. There probably would be a need for a TM30 for that province but as we know nothing about what they are trying to do it’s hard to advise.
Sylvia ********
@Stuart ********
the OP has explained in the comments he's english and moving from Pattaya. When I go to Isan there is additional fee to withdraw from Pattaya account, plus complications to get bank letter to renew annual visa
Stuart *********
@Sylvia *******
No fee if you use cardless ATM option on your phone.
