They dont email you, but your status on that site means your visa has been processed and is on its way back to you via post, keep an eye on your mail tomorrow.

Could be but there is also people who choose to invest and have portfolios of property etc. not everyone likes to camp on cash in the bank as its essentially dead money these days.

For a 60 day tourist visa the £12k rule is way over the top, I have that amount covered easily but I have probably had a few dips in the last 6 months due to running a business and needing to spend, but it always comes back in. I read from a comment elsewhere that oslo embassy is removing the requirement hopefully others will follow suit.
