I’m in the process of applying to reunite with my fiancée, The Australian border closed between our flights in March. What do you think the options will be?

I have an exemption to leave Australia, doing the medical tomorrow and waiting on the police check. Everything else I can take care of on my pc.

I don’t think they will cancel the STV because some Chinese people never applied for the visa, from what I understand if you wait too long you’re going to be at the end of a very long queue. This is for a stay of 90 days with two further 90 day options totaling a stay up to 270 days.

The first option that comes to mind is a retirement visa, stay up to 12 months but not allowed to work. Need around
