You should try applying for a long stay visa in France! Or perhaps a Thai trying to visit the UK for the first time. The world has changed for some. Brexit doesnt help either.

I arrived back in Bangkok in Oct last year after getting stuck in the UK in March. So glad I made it back. I cant think of a more organised, civilised and pleasant place to be during this world cirsis.

its only an issue if you need to make a large purchase eg. A condo. Otherwise its just your money from your home country to your Thai account.

I use Kasikorn bank and the K+ app is great. I use Wise to transfer funds into it from the UK. Some transactions are almost instant and the rates are great.
