Easiest option is probably to apply for a six months multiple entries tourist visa, so-called METV. Gives you a 60 days stay upon entry each time within 180 days which can be extended with additional 30 days at your local immigration. This means you’ll need to do one border bounce if you want to stay for more than 3 months.
The Non O-A visa is valid for one year after it’s issued and gives you a one year stay each time you enter within one year. This means it could possibly give you up to two years in Thailand if you update your health insurance also for the second year.
Why worry. Even if it’s changed back to 30 days you still can apply for an additional 60 days extension on a visa exemption visiting family as married to a Thai.
You’ve probably never applied for a e-visa before. You just do a selfie, no reservations required, just upload the information. Took me ten minutes in total to apply for a Non O and was approved within two days. And I happily pay 40 USD to avoid going around being frustrated if that’s the case.
There’s no latest news here, everything is as it has been since 15th July last year. You can apply for a 60 days tourist visa at 40 USD to be 💯% secure.
There was no specific list. I was sent to the second floor and they asked for a long stay visa. They accepted the initial 90 days without extension, a TM.30 receipt from a hotel (didn’t require Residence Certificate) and asked for my national driver license.
Was denied in Krungthai Pattaya Klang without a work permit or yellow house book. Accepted in Krungthai Pattaya Tai if I did an extension as they wanted minimum a one year "Visa".
This list could be from while it still was possible to open on a tourist visa or even a visa exemption. Now the main requirement is a long stay visa.
So you mean that I wasn’t allowed to open a bank account in February then? And there’s no such requirement listed in the bank today (or in February) as I were looking for it. Their basic requirement was a long stay visa.
