I'm a retired SNCO and my Thai wife has lived in the states for 37 years...there're ZERO legal/acceptance problems if you follow the rules but sadly obtaining the visa will be slowed because of other's fraud.
In fact, your most frequent problem will be people trying to invite themselves to your home for an authentic Thai dinner. Don't listen to these hysterical partisans.
BTW...best of luck to you and your wife. Hope you two become a very close team and build a happy family!
Please take your hysterical nonsense elsewhere....there's no problems for law abiding people from any country. And please don't respond with any of the fake news by omission stories...we're aware of how it's fabricated.
My wife's home is near Nong Khai....been to Laos a few times and would return again regularly for shopping day trips but just not worth the visa hassle. Shame the little Lao people pay for this petty corruption.
Following the conversation out of curiosity. I’m a retired GI and did the same thing 37 years ago…hoping you and your new wife also enjoy a happy marriage.
