Want to open Thai bank account this May to put in funds to apply for retirement 1 year extension.
Got non immigrant o visa. Uk passport. Proof of address UK
Going to stay at same hotel in Pattaya I stayed for over 3 months left March .I
kept receipts.
Will pay for one month and will be staying there first 3 months.
I will get copy of TM 30.
Will this be enough to get me a residence permit from the immigration office in Jomtien ?
I have been there before to get a 30 day extension.
Do I just join the queue to try to get residence permit or is there a separate section at the immigration centre who deal with this matter? Any advice appreciated.
Trying to avoid using an agent.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks guidance on opening a Thai bank account to deposit funds for a retirement visa extension. They hold a Non-Immigrant O visa and plan to stay in Pattaya, providing proof of address from the UK and hotel receipts. They inquire if this documentation will suffice for obtaining a residence permit at the Jomtien immigration office, the procedure for the application, and if specific queues for residence permits exist.
