You can get extension anytime at Chiang Mai Immigration, don't need to wait last days of your stamp validity.

The cost is 1,900 baht.

Bring one passport size photo, copy of your passport (pages with photo and data, page with entry stamp, departure card), and your passport, of course. You will fill the extension form at Immigration.
