That is exactly what I was thinking - remembering the rigmarole I had to go through to get all my documents notarised, certified, legalised and red ribboned last year
That would make a lot of sense, we see a lot of questions repeated because the poster missed the earlier answer. (RFFI was the acronym used a lot in those days = Read the F* FAQ Idiot, the internet has always been a friendly place...)
My son has been through the visitors visa for marriage then the settlement visa for his wife who is from California. It was long, costly and extremely frustrating experience. But successful in the end
I always just had the ticket email on my phone till the time I had difficulty connecting to email server to show ticket at airport. Now I just do quick print off. You actually dont need it for check-in, they always work from your id
I have had issues more than once flying, not to Thailand, but to Philippines. Once with a one way ticket and the second time with a return to UK from Philippines. (I have a visa with indefinite duration and multi-entry) What makes this relevant to this threat, is that the issues were at check-in. The relevant airlines were Singapore airlines and Turkish airlines. Once I got over it with a £14 cheapo ticket from manila to hong kong the other time I just spent the time explaining to, first the counter clerk, then to the check-in supervisor about my visa. The airlines carry the can so it is at check-in that any problems might arise
