Just out of interest. I wonder if it is beneficial to make a FAQ post with pointed answers. I realise that regulations are updated regularly but it might be useful especially if people can print it out. Just a thought. Can't thank you enough for all the advice you give.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is a suggestion to create a FAQ post with concise answers about visa regulations for expats in Thailand. While some members see the potential benefits, others express skepticism, noting that individual cases vary greatly, and users often do not utilize available search functions or pinned posts. Repeated questions are common, indicating a need for streamlined information, but there is concern about whether such an effort would be worth the time given users' tendencies to overlook existing resources.
With all the name calling of a stamp or sticker it would be very hard to make a FAQ list. People do not look in their passport to see what is in there, more easy is just ask on this page. How many times we read I have a 30 Day Visa on Arrival or a Retirement, Marriage, Muay Thai Visa. I still remember the question: I want a jojo Visa, after some questions I found out he meant a multiple re entry permit.
That would make a lot of sense, we see a lot of questions repeated because the poster missed the earlier answer. Mind you there will be a lot of people who dont look at the FAQ, but then they can just be told RFFI as used to happen a lot in the days of Usenet. (RFFI was the acronym used a lot in those days = Read the F* FAQ Idiot, the internet has always been a friendly place...)
