I do plan to do a visa border run at some point mid Jan but I am ok paying for the 30 day extension in mid Dec.

I don’t need to do that when my air BNB landlord is happy to fill out a TM30 himself.

Thanks everyone for your comments. We are staying 32 days in our Air BNB.

My understanding from your comments is I do need to have my landlord complete a TM30 and register us otherwise I can’t get my visa extended.

so I can understand what you mean there…. After we have passed through Laos immigration and get the bus back to the Thai border, we will have a lot of people offering to help us in some capacity? And want to be paid for it?
