We are UK citizens applying for 60 day tourist visas through the E Visa system and it’s asking for proof of current location. Do I even have to show proof of current location for my children?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen applying for a 60-day tourist visa through the E-Visa system is inquiring about the need to provide proof of current location for their children. Several commenters suggest practical proof options, like a driver's license or utility bill, while others discuss the necessity of obtaining a visa when UK citizens can enter Thailand with a visa exemption for 60 days upon arrival. There is advice to not worry too much about applying for the visa given the exemption policy and various suggestions on documents that could prove their current location.

Just turn up get 60 days.

I sent a photo of my uk driving license. I was stumped my this question too, but they accepted that

You don't need a 60 day visa. UK citizens get 60 day via exemption on arrival. Save your money and just turn up.

If you don't have a stamp in your passport proving your arrival in UK, buy a daily newspaper and take a mug shot

you have been asking questions on this for months, do you not like any of the answers that you have received so far ?

I used a picture of the passport photo page just like at another question.

Why you applying for a visa when you enter Thailand now you get a 60 days visa stamp on your passport for free

I’m being ultra safe and getting my kids pre-approved 60 day tourist visas as they left Thailand on overstays from their last visit. Didn’t want to leave anything to chance arriving at airport immigration and hoping they get 60 days visa exemption

A visa does not guarantee entry - if blacklisted they will still be denied entry even with a visa. You are wasting your money.
John *******
You state you are UK citizens but don’t state where you are physically located or what embassy you are going through for the evisa. Proof of current location may varry

@Nadeem *******
so if UK citizens based in UK, use any evidence that shows your kids are in the UK

Do you really want a 60 day tourist visa? You get 60 days exempt when you arrive in Thailand without a visa

@Jim *******
perfectly logical question. I’m being ultra safe and getting my kids pre-approved 60 day tourist visas as they left Thailand on overstays from their last visit. Didn’t want to leave anything to chance arriving at airport immigration and hoping they get 60 days visa exemption.

@Nadeem *******
how old are your kids?

all 4 of them under 10. Overstay was 6 mths.

@Nadeem *******
then there is no problem at all. And how anybody can even imagine that a family is coming and they wouldn't allow the kids in? Tourist visa is for nothing now
John **********
@Nadeem *******
they should be fine
Peter *******
@Nadeem *******
Depends how long the overstays were
Charlie ******
@Peter ******
children can't be blacklisted only their parents can
Peter *******
@Charlie *****
depends how old the children were, could have been over 18 easily, just referring to his children

@Charlie *****
so you are saying me getting 60 day tourist visas for my kids is a waste of time and money? They will always be allowed back into Thailand visa exempt despite their previous overstay?
Thaimer ******
@Nadeem *******
getting visa in advance doesn’t guarantee you’ll be allowed to enter Thailand.

Visa is issued by one department ( MFE) and entrance into Thailand is by immigration.

First can easily issue you visa and immigration deny you entry
Charlie ******
@Nadeem *******
both yes and no. They can't be punished, but can be punished through you. So better safe then sorry
Rene ******
@Nadeem *******
not sure if the system of foreign affairs (visa office) is connected with the police (immigration)
Charlie ******
@Rene *****
they're not
Rene ******
@Charlie *****
indeed, thats what I meant, so it's possible he can get a visa but be sent away anyway..

Two days ago you were going to apply for DTV, so what changed and now tourist visa?

Upload a photo of your drivers license if it has an address on it, or a utility bill with your name and address.

that’s ok for adults. What about children?
Brandon ************
@Nadeem *******
Well it's a required field, so I would assume it's required. But since children do not have any documents or bills, upload something from the parents.

I guess I would have no choice because there is rarely anything that is addressed to the children that I could use as proof of them residing at our family house in the UK.
