And by last year I presume you mean COVID. Smog in CM gets better every year.

Except that your claim is not true. Does rain help - it always does, but statistically the number of fires dropped days before it started raining. I have no idea why and I've mentioned that on CMNIE in previous posts but its a provable fact that can be backed up by publicly available data.

not in Chiang Mai Province in mass. I thought it had early Feb. and then it went weird. If you're looking at the broader region, Myanmar has had a fire fest for the better part of a month.

All the stats for CM are publicly available. I've showed you my summary graph - all the CM data is publicly available and again - this is a weird February.

You'd be surprised - there's got to be maybe 10k farang expats, maybe more that are still here and lasted through COVID. Tourists are few and far between. Everywhere I go as a farang I always see other farangs around.

Also burning season hasn't started. Here's the current daily fire count for Feb. It will start but look outside - this is the weirdest February ever. Not just rain - the burning dropped before the rain.

Legitimate volunteer visas are still available. What has been banned is dodgy ones, particularly out of places like Pattaya. It may shock some people to learn - a legit volunteer visa involves actually doing volunteer work.
