Where are you? Is your wife a Thai?

What Visa do you have now?

Without these information no one can help you effectively.

Apply for a non immigrant O Visa in your country( online on Thai E Visa)

- photo of yourself and the passport

-photo of your ID card( evidence of your location of living)

- flight information ( date of flight and the flight number)

- accomodation in Thailand

- evidence of finances : 800 000 Baht, 3 Bank reports of the the last 3 months

It is very easy to do that from your country.

Then you will get a 3 month visa. Once you are in Thailand you will go to immigration office and apply for a 1 year Visa. Non immigrant O Visa.

One of The most serious and important thing in choosing a country to live is the health system. Thailands health system is equal to western countries.

I know Philippinen Well . My problem with the country is its infrastructure relating to the health system . Once I was in Bantayan island my girlfriend got a health problem. From there to Cebu city it took 8 hours with ferry and Taxi. I imagined I had a serious health problem! What would happen then??

We have to know that the more we get older the more our health condition gets serious.

I love Philippines more than any other Asian countries . My biggest issue is the health system.

But if you are in a very good health condition then try it with Philippines. Go there and stay for some weeks and travel around, you will fall on love with country. Almost everyone speak English.

you are welcome Scott. That is why we all are here and communicate .

And honestly said: the Thai visa system is a jungle. I myself repeatedly misunderstand this or that regulation .

As you can experience here how many times the same issue is asked and when I see the answers then I sometimes see many variations of answers. That shows how complicated and messy the Thailand visa system is.
