ok perfect 😊 I've given them plenty of notice that I'm not renewing and we are on good terms so shouldn't be a problem hopefully, is this document something they can make themselves with official school stamp etc or do I need to get it from the labour office or online or somewhere? Thanks 🙏

that's great information thank you, just to check can I do this at any time once we are married and have the documentation from my employer, or do I have to wait until my school contract end date in October?

thanks for the heads up but I work for an agency and the consultants that sort out the visa and work permit will always allow teachers to travel and enjoy Thailand after the contract finishes up until the last day of the visa/work permit, never had a problem with that before

ok good to know, I think the hardest part is going to be getting the documents required for the marriage registration which will mean a trip to Bangkok so once that is done I don't mind the extra paperwork that needs to be done for the 1 year extension 👍

I don't quite understand the 60 day extension? so I can go to my local immigration once my current visa is coming to an end and extend for 60 days and say that I am visiting friends/family in the country? I do have a cousin in the country

thanks for this information but as I am a female I don't think there are any financial requirements for the extension of stay based on marriage?
