Do I need to notify immigration about TM.30 after a border run in Thailand?

Hello I went to do a border run at Mae Sae a few weeks ago, I didn't even think about the TM.30 notification when I returned... I was only there for the day so is it necessary to notify? I was on an education visa and now on a 30 day tourist exempt stamp, moving out of my apartment on Tuesday, staying with a friend for a couple of days before flying back to England, just wondering if I need to pay immigration a visit before I leave? I'm planning to come back to Thailand later in the year and try to find work in Isan so I won't be living in Chiang Mai but don't want any problems if I'm applying for a work permit or anything

Thanks in advance
