wiser isn't the right word.....its not like they didn't know what was happening right from the beginning that people might not or don't have to attend classes......but maybe tightening and disallowing some nationalities they deem unworthy for whatever reason. BUT anyway....visa requirments are laid out.....if you give all documents you should be approved. No offense.....If your passport is from a 3rd world country you obviously have a lot less chance though....places like algeria etc Thai Authorities are probably cracking down on French Arabs since they seem to be the no 1 cause of trouble in thailand

You are 100% able to get a medical extension if you were stuck in a hospital bed, not sure if you can get a retroacted one, why didn't you get a waiver? 40 day overstay at once is massive and a real problem, 2 or 3 days is not a problem unless you have like 10 x of them.

Anonymous participant French arab or normal french? French arab have been causing tons of trouble in thailand and espeically phuket and they may even reject you just for that...

Whats your nationality?! Immigration are probably cracking down on Middle Eastern and French Arabic Passport Holders as they were causing a lot of trouble especially during high season

They are hopefully changing the rules already, Thailand is facing a liquidity crisis and needs inflow of cash

They’re planning of making it two years tax-free remittance , but nothing said in Stone yet
