U need residency in Vietnam to apply from within Veitnam, so u couldn't have gotten it anyway. Just go an extended it or take a trip out and have fun

well, his was translated by a legal translator notary in Portugal. Then the school gave us the rest of the documents, and I provided my proof of funds and applied through laos embassy for him and I. I was so nervous myself, but it all worked out easily for us through that embassy

I just did this. Keep in mind too u can't apply for ed visa from Vietnam unless you are resident. Anyway, you can get it translated anywhere and use it. That's what I did for my kid when his bc is in Portuguese. It has a notary stamp from Portugal on it. We took that copy to the embassy in Laos with the rest of the papers and it was fine.

its never a random Tuesday as u know u need an appointment which these days takes weeks. So I live in the south so I have to book appt, fly to Bangkok, get a hotel, go get the doc from embassy. Have it translated then taken to the ministry of foreign affairs!, and don't forget to get your passport certified at the same time at embassy and also legally translated. So about 50 each paper. Then you make an appointment at the amphur office ur going to marry in. Sometimes the appointment to get married could take upwards of 3 months. Judt a FYI amphur offices can request more than this if they don't like u :) anyway you got to do it bangkok, so there is that have a great day. Go get married in Gibraltar takes 24 hours there is a reason why John and yoko Lennon got married there.... it's easy. Everything is on the embassy website. You will not find this document in the usa, it's only for embassies to issue :) this is my 2nd time doing this, I know exactly what I'm talking about lol don't forget both parties need these papers, not just one. My fiance is portuguese and they are like 9 months away from an appointment for him to get this paper. So we are flying to gibraltor

yes there is u get it from the embassy not usa. U select notary services when selecting the appointment.
