TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are following along on your husband's retirement visa as a trailing spouse, you do not need to show your own income. However, it's important to note that you must apply for this visa from outside of Thailand. This can be done either at a Thai embassy in your home country when your husband first applies for his retirement visa or after he has transitioned from a 90-day non-O visa to a 1-year extension, at which point you would also need to leave Thailand to apply.

Beware though that you can only get this visa from outside of Thailand so you either need to apply for it when your husband applies for his visa from the Thai embassy in your home country, or if he's going to apply in Thailand you need to wait until he's gotten through the 90 day non-O visa and is on the 1 year extension, then you'll need to leave Thailand and apply for your non-O visa at a nearby Thai embassy.
I’m in process of getting the 90 day non-O (over 50) in UK for myself and dependent spouse for wife. When I apply for the 12 month extension in Thailand can my wife apply at the same time?
