Can my husband and children get a family visa if I am on an education visa in Thailand?

I am going to medical school in Bangkok.....will my husband & children be able to get a family visa to follow along while I have the education visa? My program will be about 4 years long.

yes married, American and husband is Portuguese. Kids are both Am./Pt.

also, my husband will qualify for a retirement visa too by then. ..so that is an option if the kids can follow him on that.

by that time my son will be 7 and the little one will be 1. The elder one whill be doing homeschooling through the United States and will have private tutoring in Bangkok. No plans to enroll him unless things don't pan out for homeschool.
