If it "looked strange" then no one from any western country would ever use the 30 day exemption allowance. Do they want confirmed return tickets or only tickets leaving Thailand? If so book some cheap flights to somewhere or fully refundable flights.
So basically you didn't do your research and expected another 30 day extension after already getting one previously. Preparation and research is the key. ;)
Yes so now it is a lot less years than it used to be so it is ruined for the normal folk. If you are under 50, not married, no children, no job in Thailand, an ED was one of the only affordable and available options. But the system dodgers have to screw it for everyone.....sigh.
I am not blaming the consulate one little bit. I am blaming the people who do not research the ever expanding list of requirements for Penang and then complain about it. When they could have gone to a much easier consulate that does not have the same requirements. I know full well that penang has a lot of requirements so if I needed a visa I would not go there. I would go to one that I know is easier and my chances of a visa are much higher. Wrong words I suppose. "problem consulate'....by problem I mean more complex.
Yes it used to be, but it isn't an easy consulate anymore is it......How many posts have there been now on ever increasing problems in Penang. There are plenty of other consulates that are known to be a LOT easier. I don't know why people keep going back to Penang and then complaining they were denied. PSA....don't go to a known problem consulate :)
