Hi all! I have this question: at the beginning of September, a young man got into a very unpleasant situation, where his passport was stolen. The guy himself was almost constantly in the hospital; he was recently given a new passport. At the moment he has a long overstay of 44 days. Please tell me, is it possible to somehow agree with the emigration service on canceling the overstay for medically valid reasons?

Extension of stay due to medical reason (visa exempt)

I have a Swiss friend, who entered Thailand under visa exemption. He came here, because his Thai girlfriend is in the hospital. His stamp is gonna expire in about 10-14 days. Is there any option to get a longer extension than the regular 30 days because of this situation? Thank you in advance.
