I believe when one applies for first time, the bank letter must be issued on same day one submit the application. But for extension, it is ok if the letter is few days old. Can somebody confirm please?

Dear
@Tod ********
: absolutely, please, please, stay, continue!

Like many, you advises were of great help of to me.

But enough about me ..

* on relevance of this group, and how you manage it: it is excellent. A great, and rare value in social media

* on your admin 'style' (sometimes, sounding too direct, even rough ... sometimes when closing account, deleting posts). I personally think that is not only totally fine, but sometimes need to keep this group relevant/effective.

Finally, sorry for hassle from the person who threatened you. Really sorry!

And extra thanks for continuing administring this group.

Very helpful!!! Thank you !!! It is so helpful to know that the one year 'time' extension are based on the validity of the last visa, but the 'seasoning' is based on when the extension was granted. Thank you for the explanation. As recommended in the brochure,, to be safe, I will stop by phuket immigration and confirm the rules.

Thank you for the clarification/explanation. I was confused with dates: March 25th is the deadline for those who qualify for the extension, but for those who don't quality (non-immig., etc.) ... the effect is immediate.

It seems that extending my O-A retirement visa is not an option in my situation and i would need to either go back to Canada and apply for a new retirement visa at Thai consulate in Ottawa, or apply for a new type of visa here in thailand.

unfortunately, the Canadian consulate option won't work (my type of income vs. requirement).
