Non O-A extension: I want to apply for an extension of my Non O-A visa (in Chiang Mai). I realize i made a mistake! I made the bank deposit 2.5 months before application. But now i read that deposit must be done 'within' two months from application. Any experience/suggestion for such issue?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on applying for an extension of their Non O-A visa in Chiang Mai due to a misunderstanding about the timing of their bank deposit for required financial evidence. Comments clarify that having the deposit for 2.5 months before application is acceptable as it exceeds the 2-month seasoning requirement. Additionally, a reminder is provided regarding the necessity of obtaining compliant health insurance from approved Thai insurers.

Mouseen Serrar You’re reading way too much into that sentence. You’re fine if it’s there 2.5 months before or even 2.5 years before. Don’t sweat it.

A reminder...

You will need OA compliant health insurance too when seeking to extend inside Thailand.

And must be from one of the approved Thai insurers.

Cannot be a foreign insurer you may have used in obtaining yoir OA in your home country.

I don't know where you read 'that deposit must be done 'within' two months from application'.. It is supposed to be that your funds must be seasoned for at least (or no less than) two months from date of application, not from your current extension expires..

You are reading it incorrectly. The money must be in the account AT LEAST 2 months before the date you apply for the extension.

You need the 800K THB seasoned for at least 2months. 2.5 months is greater than 2 months so you’re fine.
