TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the requirements for extending a Non-O visa in Thailand. Specifically, it addresses whether the 800,000 Baht financial requirement must be funded by a new deposit from overseas each year or if domestic transfers are acceptable. Based on community feedback, it's clarified that there is no requirement to prove the origin of the 800,000 Baht for yearly extensions; domestic transfers are acceptable.

READ the post before commenting people. They are not asking about the seasoning of the funds, they are not asking about a new extension, they are asking IF the 800K baht has to come in from overseas when meeting the financial requirements for a yearly extension (their 3rd one)

The answer to that question is NO, there is no requirement that makes you prove where the 800K baht came from on yearly extensions (meaning it can be a domestic transfer).

For extensions...need to show bank letter of balances for prior 12 months...and current bankbook balance.

Cannot fall below 400,000 Thb during the entire year...

And not below 800,000 during first three months of the extension year...

and must be 800,000 Thb during the two months before your next extension due.

She is asking about an extension for the 3rd year. It is possible she is asking about the first extension of the O-A visa.

Marty Pollard. Makes no difference. You can be applying for your 20th extension. Same criteria for O (50+) and OA

I keep a 1,000,000 baht minimum balance in my Kasikorn account and use it to extend my O-A visa each year. I’ve never been asked its origin. I have extended my visa three times. I use the Bangkok Immigration office.
