Would a "Non Immigrant O-A visa" qualify me as Thailand resident? This is for 'residence' requirement for applying for tourist visas to other countries (e.g. India, China) at their consulates in Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, a Non Immigrant O-A visa does qualify you as a resident of Thailand. With this visa, you can use your Thai address when applying for tourist visas to countries like China and India at their consulates in Thailand. However, it's advisable to confirm specific requirements with the consulates of the countries you wish to visit.

I'd definitely contact the Thai consulate in Los Angeles BEFORE you show up there to make sure that you can apply for an O-A visa.

As
@Ja***
correctly pointed out MOST thai consulates require you hold a passport from the country you're applying for the O-A visa in. OR at the least have legally residency in that country.

Good Luck (y)

The info about an O-A from Los Angeles doesn't state it BUT I'd still contact them..

Your residence under the O-A (retirement) would be in Thailand. You could apply for a Tourist Visa for China using the Thailand address. I have done it in getting a China Tourist Visa....and I am on an O-A from USA. Please confirm with the India Embassy websites.

as a Canadian Citizen can you obtain the O-A in Los Angeles? I do not know the answer. I thought the O-A was only available from your home country. But you also state you have residence in the USA. Anyway...hope all works well for you.

Mouhsine Serrar I was confused be earlier posts of yours asking about the O-A in Los Angeles and New York City. So I assumed you were American. As a Canadian where did you get your O-A Visa?
