A question about retirment visa and its extention:
* validity: visa obtained on May 11th, 2022. Validity is mentioned to 21 June 2023. It more than 13 months. Is it a typo, and validy should be for 12 month only?
* bank deposit: If visa obtained on May 11th, it means i have to keep the 800k balance at least up to August 11th, but never go below 400k. Is this correct? I am double checking here because i still feel the pain from past miss-understanding of the rules! Thank you!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The validity of the retirement visa obtained on May 11, 2022, extends until June 21, 2023, which is indeed longer than the typical 12-month period, but it reflects the extension of stay granted based on the initial visa's expiration. The bank deposit requirement stipulates that the 800,000 baht balance should be maintained until at least August 11, 2022, without dropping below 400,000 baht, confirming the correct understanding of the rules is essential for compliance.
