yes I appreciate that it is for some people but for others it’s not, for others it’s a drop in the ocean and can easily be written off as just another expense.

Or here is a thought just keep the 800k in a Thai bank and never touch it.

Then you never need worry about your retirement visa again.

I’m only 49 but already I decided I will just keep 800k in a Thai bank for my retirement visa and then when I die I will leave it in my will to my Thai gf. The dog, a Thai orphanage or anyone else that I desire.

Think about it, it’s a nominal amount that you could write off as a payment that will allow you to live the rest of your life happily in the land where most of the people on this page including me LOVE.

There is a button to press that allows you to download the declaration form.

You then digitally sign and date it.

You then upload the signed declaration to the same area of the E-visa application and that’s it.

Very simple.

Not sure what your referring to about the who invited you question but you have to show proof of your accommodation booking.

Always a risk with the airline not allowing you to board the plane to Thailand if you don’t have an exit flight within 30 or 60 days depending on what tourist visa your entering on.

But if you have that flight to Laos already booked then you can show them that.

The answer is A LOT.

A lot of trouble if they find u and they are actively looking.

Just check out the news and see how many Russians they are finding illegally working every week.

You will be deported and blacklisted from entering the country.

that’s not true.

Maximise your stay and extend every 60 day entry by 30 days at Thai immigration then leave and re-enter for your next 60 day stamp.

is absolutely correct.

Medical extension is impossible to get.

I have had personal experience of this.

Immigration do not care, unless you are half dead, on a ventilator or unconcious in a hospital you won't get medical extension.

I had ACDF Anterior Cervical Disc Fusion (spine surgery) at Bangkok Hospital, personal expense 700'000bt.

I was in agony, incapacitated, had all documents from hospital and doctors.

Immigration officers are hard hearted and hard headed unsympathetic people.

They declined any medical extension.
