Well after checking the prices and thinking about possibly needing proof when I actually enter Thailand (or if the airline wants proof too) I decided to book a side trip that I can cancel later if I for some reason do not get an extension this time.

Don’t want to be accused of making up my own rules now do I.

glad to hear it worked for you. I just have the odd feeling that I should just go the extra step and grab the booking, a lot less haggling that way.

Did you talk to anyone specifically?

yeah pretty much what I was planning, good advice about keeping the booking for when I enter.

Honestly trying to help her get a tourist visa won’t work unless you can pull some strings.

K-1 is a single shot deal for intent to marry only. If you don’t follow through with it that is ok, that is what they are for.

Best results is if a tour group is arranged.

yes but only on line if you switch to a Thai sim.

The Thai number doesn’t interfere with the app as far as placing and receiving calls as long as it is active but for some reason I was not able to get texts on the phone unless I was on the website.

I want to add that as much as I like GV it does glitch sometimes.

I use Google voice. Receive and make calls plus voicemail and voicemail text.

Zero cost per month for the line after the $20 setup fee.

Excellent rates to other countries (USA and Canadian are free) and can call via any handset or computer.

I also bought a obi200 and use that for a landline as long as I have Ethernet.
