If you are no longer working for the local company, are you sure they have not already canceled your visa for you? Law requires them to cancel within 7 days.
Now that you have a valid visa, you can’t apply for a DTV until that visa is no longer valid. Therefore, it depends if it is a single entry or multi-entry visa. Single entry, once you enter and exit, is no longer valid. If multiple entry, it is valid until the expire date.
He is physically in Canada. What he is saying is the embassy/consulate in Canada wanted documentation that he would be leaving Thailand. Since he knew he had to leave every 180 days, he showed evidence that he would travel to Cambodia before 180 days are up. Now the embassy implies
that since he is only there for less than 180 days, he only needed a tourist visa.
- the guy is in Canada. They asked him to supply evidence that he would leave Thailand at some point, so he supplied evidence that within 180 days of arrival, he will travel to Cambodia. He isn’t in Cambodia now. He is in Canada.
Anonymous participant 307 - What visa applications have you submitted for Thailand and what embassy? Only reporting what we have seen happen many times here. Really doesn’t matter what other countries do though. Your passport says “authority” and the question Thailand is asking is place of issue.
