- From the posts on the DTV Facebook group, it seems like many embassies are becoming much more strict about the length of the course. While short courses worked before, it seems harder to use now. How long is his course for? If he has a tourist visa, he can still take the course, if less than 6 months, so money isn’t wasted. He still gets to participate in the activity he wanted to participate in.

So your friend is in Chiang Mai, so he could speak to her in person then? Does the contract say he would receive a full refund if the visa application was rejected?

I have no clue. Was just curious if it changed anything.

curious, have you seen anything around least/more resistance when it is a foreign woman married to a Thai woman or a foreign man married to a Thai man? Just curious, if a foreign woman regardless to who she is married to would have easier go at it.

so most likely it is not because of the gym. Did your friend not know this case when signing up with this gym? Why would you want to write a bad review when you knew the situation? Sounds like you are angry that you were rejected and taking it out on the gym

Yes, it needs to say you work remotely, and some embassies want it to say you have permission to work remotely from Thailand

I believe there have only been 1 or 2 people on here who have said they were successful this route. I also believe it is embassy specific, so depends on the embassy. There was an info video at one point that did include language as an option

Padkrapow4549 - so you already applied and got rejected once? What did the agent say they thought the reasoning was? Did you use the same Muay Thai gym? It could be something with the gym that is red flagged.

Padkrapow4549 for the most part, they do stick to the general guidelines. Since we have no idea why you were rejected, there is no reason to get hung up on length of course. It is true that for some, short course can be the issue, but that doesn’t seem to be the issue with you. If nothing wrong with the paperwork, they must see something wrong with the applicant. How long have you been in Thailand? What visas? Any overstays? Furthermore, are you sure your organization has the proper certifications?
